I’m Sara, and I became a motherhood photographer because I believe these seasons of life are sacred, and the wild, raw, in-between moments of motherhood are not only the ones that shape us, but also slip away all too quickly.
After years spent walking beside mothers — as a perinatal chiropractor, lactation consultant, doula and from behind the lens — I’ve felt how powerful it is to be seen.
My camera doesn't serve to direct, but rather to quietly witness. To move gently through your moments with care, love, and deep respect.
My job is to beautifully capture the complexity of your story while also holding space for it to naturally unfold-
So you can relax, breathe, and walk away with images that feel like your baby’s first love story; the kind that bring you right back to that feeling and season even decades later.
When Rob proposed it hailed, when we got married it snowed, and now, perfectly timed, in the middle of a 2017 snow storm, I gave birth of our firstborn; a beautiful baby girl, born in the comfort of our own home. It was the most incredible and empowering day of my life.
Since then, I've been blessed to give birth three more times. Each one has stretched and transformed me to my very core, and in different ways than my births previous.
My second birth was the most humbling and transformative experience of my life. My third, the most unexpected, yet beautiful, and my fourth, my most peaceful and healing.
Birth, in all its forms, changes us, and that, although often hard, messy, and wild, is what makes it beautiful.
When mothers reach out, they often tell me they’re nervous — about what it will be like, how they’ll look, or if the baby will cry.
But afterward, I always hear the same thing: “That was so easy” or "I barely noticed you photographing".
And when they see their photos, they’re amazed by all the beautiful emotion and details captured.
Whether it’s the growing season of pregnancy, the raw beauty of birth, or the stillness and gentle flow of those early newborn days postpartum — my approach stays the same.
I follow your lead, your rhythm, your baby’s cues — witness your story, and give you space to simply breathe and be.
You’ll walk away feeling like someone finally saw this season for what it truly is — powerful, tender, and beautifully real.
